'12 Giant Men' start World Cup Qualifiers with a dominant win
Our A National Men's Basketball Team faced Bosnia and Herzegovina at home in their first match of the 2027 World Cup European Qualifiers Round 1 Group C.
In the match played at the Basketball Development Center, the '12 Giant Men' defeated their guests Bosnia and Herzegovina 93-71, starting the qualifiers with a victory.
Tarık Biberovic was the top scorer of the match for the Crescent-Stars, finishing with 20 points.
For the national team, Şehmus Hazer scored 18 points, Sertaç Şanlı added 14 points, and Kenan Sipahi contributed 12 points and 9 assists.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amar Alibegovic was the team's top scorer with 18 points.
Turkey will face Switzerland away in their second World Cup Qualifiers match on Sunday, November 30.
