The 33rd week of the Süper Lig has concluded. Galatasaray defeated Pendikspor, which is in the relegation zone, 4-1 with goals from Icardi, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Mertens, and Kerem Aktürkoğlu. With this victory, the yellow-reds brought their point total to 90.
Title contender Fenerbahçe, meanwhile, drew 2-2 away against Sivasspor. Although the yellow-navies brought their point total to 86, the point gap with Galatasaray increased to 4.
As the league enters its final 5 weeks, Galatasaray will face Adana Demirspor (away), Sivasspor, Fatih Karagümrük (away), Fenerbahçe, and Konyaspor (away), respectively.
Fenerbahçe, on the other hand, will face Beşiktaş, Konyaspor (away), Kayserispor, Galatasaray (away), and İstanbulspor.
Three records await Galatasaray, which aims to become champion for the second consecutive time.
If the yellow-reds win their remaining 5 matches, they could become champions with 105 points. If this scenario occurs, Galatasaray will break its first record by winning all matches in the second half of the Süper Lig.
The second record awaiting Galatasaray is surpassing the 93-point championship record held by Fenerbahçe from the 1988-89 season, making the yellow-reds the new record holders.
If they surpass 100 points, they will become the first team in the Süper Lig to reach a triple-digit point total and win the championship.
