7 medals for national athletes on the first day of the Cadet Taekwondo Championships

On the first day of the European Cadet Taekwondo Championships held in Serbia, national athletes secured 7 medals, including 2 golds.

According to the statement made by the Turkish Taekwondo Federation, competitions were held in 7 weight categories on the first day of the event in the capital, Belgrade.

Utku Kap in the men's 148 cm category and Didar Efsa Karayel in the women's 156 cm category won gold medals.

Osman Nuri Esad Ersan took the silver medal in the men's 148 cm category, while Yiğit Efe Erdoğan in the 148 cm category, Muhammed Taha Yıldız in the 156 cm category, and Ebru Sevilay Abut in the women's 144 cm category and Nisanur Akay in the 152 cm category won bronze medals.

Competitions in 6 weight categories will be held on the second day of the championships.
