National fencer Nisanur Erbil has earned the right to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the women's sabre discipline by utilizing the European continental quota, following an invitation received from the International Fencing Federation (FIE) on May 28, 2024.
With this achievement, Erbil will become the first female athlete to represent Turkey in the sabre discipline in the history of the Turkish Olympics.
