A sad day for Trabzonspor: 'The player who scored our club's first official goal has passed away'
Osman Türk, the former footballer and council member who scored Trabzonspor's first official goal, has passed away.
In a statement released by Trabzonspor, it was stated: "It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our former footballer and Council Member, Osman Türk, who scored our club's first official goal. We wish God's mercy upon our former player and extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and our community."
The statement noted that Türk first played for the red-and-white Trabzonspor in 1966, and subsequently played for the club founded on August 2, 1967, for 6 seasons.
A funeral ceremony for Osman Türk will be held tomorrow at İskenderpaşa Mosque.
