Acun Ilıcalı ends his investments in Shelbourne
Businessman Acun Ilıcalı has decided to end his investments in the Irish Premier League team Shelbourne.
Acun Ilıcalı's company ACM SPORTS announced that the investment decision has been terminated following the conclusion of the season in the Irish Premier League, stating the following:
"As ACM SPORTS, we have decided to end our investments in Shelbourne, one of Ireland's valuable clubs. We thank the Shelbourne family for the cooperation that has continued to this day. Our planning continues to implement our investments in the field of football in another country in the near future."
Following Acun Ilıcalı's acquisition of shares, Shelbourne recorded 9 wins, 8 draws, and 2 losses in the 19 matches they played in the league. The club finished the Irish Premier League in 4th place, 12 points behind the leader, Shamrock Rovers.
