The new destination for Kevin Danso, who was linked with Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray during the transfer window, has been confirmed. Danso has been loaned to Premier League side Tottenham with a mandatory purchase option.
English Premier League side Tottenham has signed Kevin Danso, who plays for French Ligue 1 club Lens, on loan until the end of the season to strengthen their defensive line. The 26-year-old Austrian center-back's contract includes a mandatory purchase option.
In a statement released by Tottenham, it was confirmed that the transfer was completed with a purchase option, while reports in the British press claim this fee is 21 million pounds.
Danso, who began his professional career at Germany's Augsburg, joined Lens in 2021 after loan spells at Southampton and Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The experienced defender, who made a total of 128 appearances and scored 4 goals for Lens, has also played 24 times for the Austrian national team. Danso is expected to make a significant contribution to the Tottenham defense.
