Agreement between Başakşehir and City Football Group, which includes Manchester City and Girona

Süper Lig side Başakşehir has announced that it has signed a football-focused cooperation agreement with City Football Group, which includes Manchester City from England, Girona from Spain, Palermo from Italy, and various other football clubs across many countries.

As a result of the agreement, it was reported that Başakşehir, which aims for growth and success, will receive consultancy on various football projects, including long-term football strategy, scouting, transfers, and training processes. It was stated that CFG will also provide the Istanbul-based team with guidance focused on long-term planning and sustainability, utilizing best practices in player transfer strategies, academy development, and the use of data-driven insights.

Following the agreement, Başakşehir President Göksel Gümüşdağ made the following statement regarding the matter:

"Despite its young age, Istanbul Başakşehir FK, which has achieved many firsts in Turkish football, has taken a historic step today for both itself and Turkish football, achieving yet another first.
