Ahmet İbanoğlu speaks out: 'It is a figment of the imagination and untrue'

Central Referee Committee (MHK) President Ahmet İbanoğlu spoke about the alleged conversation between Arda Kardeşler, the referee of the Fenerbahçe vs. Fatih Karagümrük match, and VAR referee Hüseyin Göçek.

"DO NOT GIVE CREDENCE"

Stating that it is untrue, İbanoğlu said the following:

"As the MHK, I would like to share with the public that we carefully monitor referee performances every week, that we have decided to rest some of our referees until the end of the first half, and that we will act by taking these analyses into account in the classification evaluations to be made at the end of December. On the other hand, I have carefully listened to the VAR records of the Fenerbahçe A.Ş. - Vavacars Fatih Karagümrük match played in the 13th week of the Süper Lig, within my authority as the MHK President. The dialogue alleged to be the transcript of the VAR records that was leaked to the media is a figment of the imagination and is untrue. I request that no credence be given to it."
