Ahmet Nur Çebi denies 25 million euro claim!

Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi has denied reports claiming that the club is in urgent need of 25 million euros.

In his statement, Ahmet Nur Çebi said, "I believe that such reports, which are made with malicious intent, create misinformation in the public eye and could harm our community; I request that our community and the public do not give credence to such purposeful reports."

"The need has arisen to make the following statement regarding reports in the written press and on social media that the new management to take office at Beşiktaş is in urgent need of 25 million Euros.

I am following with sadness and astonishment the reports aimed at stirring up our community and creating complete misinformation ahead of our club's upcoming Ordinary Administrative and Financial General Assembly Meeting and Extraordinary Elective General Assembly Meeting.

First of all, the atmosphere being created suggests that the current financial portrait is similar to the financial portrait on October 21, 2019, when I first took office as Beşiktaş president. The real picture is completely different. Unlike the day I took office, as of today, we do not have any overdue debts to any of our football players, technical staff, personnel, or any club due to transfers. In fact, there are football players and personnel to whom we have even made advance payments upon their requests. On the day I took office, while the necessity of obtaining a UEFA debt-free letter or resolving the problems of our personnel who had not received salaries for months stood before us like an avalanche, at the point we have reached today, we are calculating how much cash balance we can hand over to the new management.

The point reached by these perception efforts is exemplary. Another example is the claim that we had to pay 8 million euros to a football player who left as if running away in the middle of the pandemic. This imaginary 8 million euros is far, far beyond even the player's own demand! As a matter of fact, the judicial process regarding the subject is still ongoing, and I request our community to follow the judicial process as well.
