Al-Ahly becomes Fluminense's opponent

In the second-round match of the tournament, which features the champions of the 6 confederations affiliated with FIFA and the host nation's league champion, the first goal was scored by Ali Maaloul from a penalty in the 21st minute, and Al-Ahly finished the first half leading 1-0.
Al-Ahly extended their lead to 3-0 with goals from Hussein El Shahat in the 59th minute and Emam Ashour in the 62nd minute.
Although Al-Ittihad reduced the deficit to 2 with a goal from Karim Benzema in the 90+2nd minute, the match ended 3-1, and Al-Ahly reached the semi-finals.
Al-Ittihad's Karim Benzema failed to convert a penalty kick in the 45th minute. Anthony Modeste of Al-Ahly received a red card in the 90th minute.
Following this result, Al-Ahly will face Fluminense in the semi-finals on Monday, December 18.
In the other semi-final matchup, Urawa Red Diamonds will face Manchester City on Tuesday, December 19.
