Alanyaspor declares support for Mehmet Büyükekşi: Our revenues have increased!

Super Lig side Alanyaspor has published a statement on its official website regarding TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi, the TFF presidential elections, and the implementation of foreign referees.

Alanyaspor's statement is as follows:

"BEING AT EURO 2024 IS THE RIGHT OF BÜYÜKEKŞİ AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS"

"There has been enough tension in Turkish football recently. We must now put aside unproductive conflicts that benefit no one, and look to the future with confidence by learning from the mistakes and shortcomings of the past. Football is a very sensitive field that is constantly changing due to everyone's love and interest, and where the most accurate decisions must be made. For this reason, one should not forget the reality that those who manage football can also make mistakes from time to time. We, too, can make mistakes while managing our clubs. What is important is to learn from them and minimize them. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board of Directors has set the general assembly date as July 18. We have a European Championship ahead of us that is extremely important for the prestige of our country and the advancement of our football. It is the most natural right of TFF President Mr. Mehmet Büyükekşi and the board of directors, who have put great effort into our participation in the European Championship, to represent us in Germany together with the national team."

"PROTECTED THE RIGHTS OF THE CLUBS"

"Mr. Büyükekşi and the board of directors managed to double the money the clubs will receive by protecting the rights of the clubs to the end in the broadcasting rights tender after many years. Perhaps this figure may not be of great importance for the big clubs, but it is a very important gain for us, the Anatolian clubs. The foreign player quota application, which has been in limbo for years, has been decided for the coming years. The share that clubs receive from the foreign fund is returned to clubs that pay their taxes and social security premiums regularly. Within the scope of the TFF academy project, great steps have been taken regarding the development of youth infrastructures by making consultancy agreements with the company Double Pass. The VAR system and the semi-automated offside system have been implemented. For the first time, a TFF President and National Team coach have visited clubs one by one and have been open to opinions and suggestions."

"WE DO NOT WANT FOREIGN REFEREES"

"One of the issues on which the federation receives the most criticism is the issue of referees. As a club, we have always stood behind Turkish referees for years and will continue to do so. We are against foreign referees in our country. We believe that referee errors will be minimized with competent Central Referee Boards, the training and further education of competent referees, and the TFF, MHK President, and their administrations truly standing behind the referees. If we ask any club in this league, they can show at least 10 referee errors in a season that caused them to lose matches that would affect the score. As long as we do not accept referee errors, we cannot be football people either. Turkish football should always be managed by the TFF President and the Board of Directors. Decisions should be made and implemented in a timely and transparent manner according to the needs of football. We have not the slightest doubt about the good intentions and work pace of Büyükekşi and his administration. There is a greater need than ever for a climate of peace and unity in football."

"JULY 18 IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE DATE"

"In order not to create chaos and for the sake of the unity of the football family, holding the extraordinary general assembly on July 18 is the most appropriate date. Clubs and delegates should decide on the future of football on July 18."
