Alperen Şengün enters top 10 in The Athletic's NBA big man rankings

National basketball player Alperen Şengün has secured a spot in the top 10 of the best big man evaluations conducted ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.

In the rankings prepared by The Athletic, Şengün, who plays for the Houston Rockets, was named the 10th best big man in the league. The list brings together the standout names in the NBA's frontcourt and big man rotations ahead of the new season.

At the top of the rankings is San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. Wembanyama, who was in second place on the list last season, this time surpassed Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

While Jokic took second place, Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks was ranked third, and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers was ranked fourth. Miami Heat player Bam Adebayo also found a place for himself in the top 5.
