Altay wins after 127 days

Altay managed to win a league match in front of their fans after a 127-day hiatus by defeating Ankara Keçiörengücü 2-1 at home in the 17th week of the 1. Lig.

Altay began the season with a transfer ban and the loss of several players, and recently had 3 points deducted for failing to obtain a National Club License. However, the team's atmosphere changed with the arrival of head coach Yusuf Şimşek. Although the black-and-whites pleased their fans with their quality of play in their first match under Şimşek against Boluspor, they lost the game 1-0. Subsequently, Altay defeated Adanaspor 1-0, ending a 13-match winless streak in their second game under Yusuf Şimşek's management.

Altay hosted Keçiörengücü in the 17th week of the league, their final match before the winter break. Coming from behind to beat their opponent 2-1, Altay increased their points tally to 8 and celebrated their first home victory after a 127-day interval.
