Alvaro Morata slams Galatasaray management! Explosive words in farewell post...

Spanish footballer Alvaro Morata, whom Galatasaray added to its squad on loan from Serie A side Milan during the mid-season transfer window last year, recently returned to Italy. The 32-year-old player conveyed his thanks to the Yellow-Red fans in a farewell post on social media. While stating that he was grateful for the intense interest shown to him, Morata also shared his thoughts regarding the fact that some promises made to him by the club were not fulfilled.

The Spanish footballer's statement is as follows:

"Dear Galatasaray fans and the Turkish people,

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love, warmth, and support you have shown me. From the very first day, you made me feel at home and offered me one of the most extraordinary support I have experienced in my career.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for my experience with the club. There were moments when promises made and respect for fundamental values were not upheld.

Commitments made until the very last moment were not fulfilled; so much so that I had to waive a portion of the salary I earned through my labor and other contractual rights (the published figures are not accurate). For me, there are certain principles in both life and work that must never be violated: respecting everyone's rights is one of them. The failure to recognize and pay what has been earned is, in my eyes, unacceptable and contrary to the values of justice and professionalism I believe in.

These issues are often not spoken about openly; however, I believe it is right to explain to the fans what really happened. You and the city of Istanbul will always have a place in my heart; I wish you the best today and in the future."

A special thanks to the head coach and his wonderful staff. I am sure you will continue to write Galatasaray's history. I thank all my teammates and all the workers at Florya from the bottom of my heart for the moments we shared."
