Alvaro Morata transfer to Galatasaray

Galatasaray has officially announced the transfer of Alvaro Morata, with whom they signed a contract yesterday.

According to the statement made on the club's social media accounts, 6 million euros will be paid to Morata and 6 million euros to his club, Milan, until the second half of the 2025-2026 season.

The social media post from the yellow-red team is as follows:

"An agreement has been reached with AC Milan SPA for the temporary transfer of professional footballer Álvaro Borja Morata Martín between February 2, 2025, and January 20, 2026.

Accordingly, a total temporary transfer fee of 6,000,000 euros will be paid to AC Milan SPA.

The footballer will be paid:

3,000,000 euros for the second half of the 2024-2025 season,

3,000,000 euros for the first half of the 2025-2026 season as a guaranteed fee.

Furthermore, our club has an option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of 8,000,000 euros, provided that written notification is given by January 15, 2026. This amount will be paid in 6 installments.

If our club does not exercise the purchase option as of January 15, 2026, it has the option to extend the loan period until June 30, 2026, free of charge.

In the event of an extension of the loan period, a guaranteed fee of 3,000,000 euros will be paid for the second half of the 2025-2026 season.

Additionally, our club will have the option to make the transfer permanent for 9,000,000 euros by providing written notification by June 10, 2026. This amount will also be paid in 6 installments.

If the purchase option is exercised, the following guaranteed fees will be paid to the footballer:

6,000,000 euros for the 2026-2027 season,

6,000,000 euros for the 2027-2028 season.
