While significant changes were made to Fenerbahçe's squad structure at the beginning of the season, Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat was sent on loan to the Spanish team Real Betis. Drawing a successful path in La Liga, Amrabat has managed to attract the attention of not only Spain but also Gulf clubs with his performance.
While Real Betis continues its efforts to acquire Amrabat's transfer rights, an unexpected development occurred. Transfer offers from Saudi Arabia have caused plans regarding the player's future to change.
Fenerbahçe initially found the 15 million Euro transfer fee offer from the Saudi club insufficient and rejected it. However, the Saudi team showed its persistence in the transfer by quickly increasing its offer to 18 million Euro. This new figure was met with a positive response from the Fenerbahçe management, and negotiations have begun more intensely.
It has been learned that if the star player's transfer goes through, the Saudi club has offered Amrabat approximately 6 million Euro per year. The transfer negotiations are expected to conclude shortly and the deal to be made official.
