An era ends at Anadolu Efes: Official parting of ways with Shane Larkin

Anadolu Efes has parted ways with the American-born national basketball player Shane Larkin.

The following statement was released on the navy-and-white club's social media accounts:

But from the very first day, it was clear that you didn't just come here to play basketball, but that you would have a much greater place in our lives. We dreamed together, and then those dreams became reality. Countless trophies, victories, historic performances, and of course records, starting with two EuroLeague championships... Today, we are saying goodbye not just to a basketball player, but to a role model for many children and an exemplary athlete who will always have a very special place in our club's history. Thank you so much for everything you have given us, Sugar Shane."

During his 8 years with Anadolu Efes, where he served as captain for a long time, Shane Larkin won 2 EuroLeague, 3 Basketball Super League, 1 Turkish Cup, and 4 Presidential Cup championships.

The American-born national basketball player is expected to play for Fenerbahçe in the new season.
