Anadolu Efes returns from Spain empty-handed

Anadolu Efes was defeated 93-88 by Spanish representative Valencia Basket in an away game during the 18th week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
During the first period of the match, played at the Pabellon Fuente de San Luis in Valencia, both teams employed tough defense, and the first quarter ended in an 18-18 tie.
In the second quarter, both teams played effectively on offense, and Anadolu Efes headed to the locker room with a 45-43 lead. Valencia Basket, which was more effective both in the paint and with outside shots in the third period, finished the third quarter ahead 71-66.
In the final period, Anadolu Efes managed to narrow the gap, which had reached 9 points (91-82) at one stage, down to 3 points (91-88) in the final minutes, but they could not complete the comeback and lost the match 93-88.
With this result, Anadolu Efes suffered its 11th defeat in the competition.
