Ancelotti comments on Arda Güler's future position
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti stated, "Arda Güler's future will be more in the center of the midfield than in an advanced position. His quality in playmaking is extraordinary."
Ancelotti made evaluations to journalists after the match in which they defeated Getafe 1-0 away with a goal from Arda Güler in the 33rd week of the Spanish La Liga.
The Italian manager said, "Arda Güler's future will be more in the center of the midfield than in an advanced position. His quality in playmaking is extraordinary."
Noting that he played Arda in the center of the midfield against Getafe and that the Turkish footballer "did very successful work," Ancelotti stated, "He played with his own style, he was high-quality, calm, and played very well. He has great quality. His future will be more in the center of the midfield in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, not further forward. His quality in building up play is extraordinary, and he showed that in the goal position. On the other hand, yes, it is true, he remains a bit ineffective in physical duels. But his quality is very high."
Ancelotti stated that they played defensive football against Getafe and were not very effective in attack.
Arda Güler, who started in the first 11 for Real Madrid in the derby match between the two teams of the city of Madrid, sent the ball into the net with a beautiful shot with his right foot from outside the penalty area in the 21st minute of the match.
The Spanish press wrote that the national footballer, who mostly uses his left foot, scored a "wonderful goal," and in player evaluations for Real Madrid, they gave three stars only to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Arda Güler.
Referencing Real Madrid's continued title race, as they remain in second place 4 points behind league leaders Barcelona with 76 points, the newspaper Marca headlined its website with "Arda freezes the league's calculations."
In the commentary, it was stated that the Turkish footballer "scored a very beautiful goal with a missile-like shot with his right foot in the first half and helped his teammates, finding the position he wanted on the field, but struggled to get into the game in the second half."
