Anderlecht issues statement regarding stadium brawl during Fenerbahçe match
The Belgian club has released a statement regarding the UEFA Europa League match between Anderlecht and Fenerbahçe, which was marred by incidents in the stands.
Anderlecht Club has announced that the fans who caused the stoppage of the UEFA Europa League play-off round second-leg match against Fenerbahçe will be identified and banned.
In a statement released by the Belgian representative, it was noted that the behavior of the fans involved in the incidents during the Fenerbahçe match is condemned in the strongest possible terms.
The statement included the following remarks:
"The club has decided to close the N5 section for the match to be played against Union on Sunday, February 23, and will take the necessary measures to ban the individuals involved in the incident from attending future matches. All persons involved in the incident will be identified in cooperation with the police and will be banned from the stadium."
