Former Ankaragücü president Faruk Koca, who entered the pitch and physically assaulted referee Halil Umut Meler following the MKE Ankaragücü – Çaykur Rizespor match, has been arrested and sent to prison.

The Yellow-Navy Blues' manager Emre Belözoğlu made a statement to the fans alongside the club's new president İsmail Mert Fırat.

'IT IS A GREAT HONOR FOR ME'

Speaking about the incident where former Ankaragücü president Faruk Koca attacked referee Halil Umut Meler, Emre Belözoğlu used the following words;

"I am the newest, youngest Ankaragücü supporter among you. I am honored to be a part of this Ankaragücü family. It is a great honor for me to share a common destiny with President Faruk Koca. This process will not be easy for any of us. If we stand together until the end, rest assured we can emerge even stronger. We must be united. Now is the time to be together.
