The Markus Gisdol era has come to an end at Zecorner Kayserispor, a team that continues to struggle with a winless streak in the Süper Lig.
Süper Lig side Zecorner Kayserispor has terminated the contract of head coach Markus Gisdol.
Club President Nurettin Açıkalın announced in a statement that they have parted ways with the German manager.
NEW COACH MAY ARRIVE IN TIME FOR TRAINING CAMP
Açıkalın thanked Gisdol for his contributions to the club and stated that the search for a new head coach is ongoing. The president added that they aim to have the new coach in place for the team's training camp, which begins tomorrow in Antalya.
FAILED TO SECURE A WIN
Under the management of Markus Gisdol, the yellow-reds managed to collect only 5 points in 8 league matches, recording 5 draws and 3 losses. Scoring only 5 goals in these matches while conceding 17, Kayserispor also faced significant defensive struggles.
6TH DEPARTURE IN 8 WEEKS
With Gisdol's departure, the Süper Lig has seen its 6th managerial change at the end of the first 8 weeks.
Previously, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Başakşehir, Gaziantep, and Eyüpspor had all decided to part ways with their head coaches.
