Following the resignation of Hasan Arat last week, another resignation has taken place at Beşiktaş. Beşiktaş Club General Secretary Kaan Şakul has resigned from his position. Şakul noted that he will continue his board membership until the extraordinary elective general assembly.

Kaan Şakul stated, "As of today, I would like to announce that I am ending my duties as general secretary and acting treasurer, and that I will continue in my position as a board member—the role I held on my first day—until the election, in accordance with the favor of our esteemed President Hüseyin Yücel and the promise I made to him."
He also added, "I would also like to state that I have initiated legal proceedings regarding the baseless allegations and smear campaign systematically carried out against me in various media outlets, and that I will never take a step back on this matter and will share a detailed statement on a national television channel in the near future."
