Antalyaspor President Sinan Boztepe's comments on the Galatasaray match

Antalyaspor President Sinan Boztepe made statements regarding the club's financial situation and future plans ahead of the financial general assembly to be held on March 18, during a press conference held at the Atilla Vehbi Konuk Facilities.

Speaking about the retroactive debts of Antalyaspor following the departure of Ali Şafak Öztürk, who served as president for two terms and most recently resigned in January 2021, Antalyaspor President Sinan Boztepe said, "The amount for which the Öztürk family is listed as a creditor is still 63 million euros; it remains where it is.

This is the figure excluding those offset by advertising, sponsorship, or sponsorship agreements, or interest. When I took office, we inherited Antalyaspor with a debt of 23-24 million euros. With the debts from last season to now, it reaches approximately 35 million euros. If we add the debt to the Öztürk family to today's debt, it makes 100 million euros. At today's exchange rate, 100 million euros corresponds to 3 billion 800 million TL," he said.

"I HAVE NO INTENTION OF QUITTING"

Stating that he has completed a year and a half since taking office, Boztepe noted that he is not considering resigning before the general assembly, which is held every 3 years, and said, "I have no intention of quitting at the end of the season; we have completed a year and a half. We set out on a path, and for 17 months, we have been bearing the brunt of it day and night. Stability is needed. I mean, Antalyaspor cannot get anywhere with 3, 6, or 9 months, you cannot get it there, and no one else can either. You start something, and suddenly the management changes. Stability is needed here. We need to complete our term. Even if we don't enjoy the fruits of it, at least we will build a good team for the upcoming league, achieve the dreams we want, make the transfers we want, and after saying we have done our job properly, we will hand it over to whoever wants to do this job and continue it," he expressed.

TARGET IS 42 POINTS

Responding to questions about why they are not going to the financial general assembly with an election, President Boztepe said, "Let's get our 42 points and put our minds at ease. My biggest concern right now is to put those 42 points in our pocket and safely reach this port. Let's get past this, and we can hold an elective general assembly in the summer. Of course, the management will change now, the executives will change. We have projects. We will now move on to what we can provide here in terms of planning, what we have provided, or what projects we have developed. The structure of the management needs to change. There will be those who resign and those who do not. Also, I don't want a 29-person management anyway. We will form a 15-person management," he said.

ANTALYASPOR LOYALTY NIGHT

Mentioning the loyalty night program they will organize to support Antalyaspor's budget, President Sinan Boztepe said, "Let's get the 42 points and put them aside; we will host it under the auspices of our Minister of Culture and Tourism. Because he wants this very much, he insists on it. We will raise money that night. All our ministers, our deputies, everyone will be there," he said.

"THE OPPONENT DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL"

Speaking about the Galatasaray match to be played away on Friday, President Boztepe said, "For us, it doesn't matter who the opponent is; we take the field against every opponent with belief, regardless of their colors or crest. We go out to succeed, to earn points, and to win. We will show the same fighting spirit against Galatasaray. Hopefully, we will return with a point or points," he said.

Reminding that he has a year and a half left in his term, President Boztepe added that they have also signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Antalyaspor Head Coach Emre Belözoğlu.
