The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Arbitration Board has reached a decision regarding Galatasaray's appeal concerning the 2026-2027 season Turkish Cup competition status. The board unanimously rejected the yellow-red club's application.
In the statement made by the TFF, it was noted that the Board of Directors' decision was examined for any illegality. It was recorded that the examination revealed the decision did not contain any aspects contrary to procedure, substance, or regulations.
According to the decision previously taken by the TFF, Süper Lig clubs will be able to field players in Turkish Cup matches who are eligible to play for the A National Football Team or foreign players whom they could not include in their A-team list for league matches.
Galatasaray had expressed its reaction to the aforementioned status change in a statement made on August 26.
The Arbitration Board also upheld the 280 thousand lira fine imposed on Fenerbahçe due to pitch incidents caused by its fans.
