Argentina overcomes Jordan hurdle with Messi's record

Argentina and Jordan faced off in the final match of Group J at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held in Dallas, USA. Delivering an effective performance, the 'Tangos' defeated their opponent 3-1 to finish the group as leaders. With this result, Argentina will face Cape Verde in the Round of 32.

Displaying a dominant game from the start, Argentina took the lead in the 19th minute with a free-kick goal by Lo Celso from near the penalty area. Lautaro Martinez converted a penalty earned midway through the first half to extend the lead to two.

Jordan brought energy to the game in the second half. Al Tamari, who came on as a substitute, scored his team's only goal in the 55th minute, raising hopes of leveling the score.
