Arsenal becomes the first Champions League finalist

In the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg, English side Arsenal hosted Atletico Madrid. German referee Daniel Siebert officiated the second match of the tie, which ended in a 1-1 draw in Spain last week.

The English side, which held the upper hand in the first half, found the goal in the 45th minute. Following an attack developed by Saliba's pass to Gyökeres, who made a run behind the defense, Bukayo Saka sent the ball into the net after it rebounded off goalkeeper Oblak from Trossard's shot from the left side of the penalty area. The Madrid team, which finished the first half trailing 1-0, started the second half effectively but could not convert their chances into a score.

Arsenal also created clear-cut chances with Gyökeres. Atletico Madrid increased the pressure in the final minutes of the match but could not find the goal they were looking for, and the match ended with a 1-0 victory for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's students managed to secure their ticket to the final.

The English team has earned the right to play in the final for the second time in its history since 2006.

The other semi-final in the Champions League will be played tomorrow between Bayern Munich and PSG at 22:00 TSI. The first match between the sides ended in a 5-4 victory for PSG.
