Asensio returns to Fenerbahçe, 2 players depart the team
As Fenerbahçe begins preparations for their Süper Lig match against Konyaspor, the return of Marco Asensio to training has been met with joy. Meanwhile, En-Nesyri and Nene have left the team for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Fenerbahçe continues its preparations without slowing down for the Trendyol Süper Lig week 16 match against Konyaspor, which will take place on Monday, December 15. The match will be played at the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex at 20:00.
The training session, held at the Can Bartu Facilities under the management of head coach Domenico Tedesco, began with core exercises in the gym. This was followed by warm-up, agility, coordination, and passing drills on the pitch. The session concluded with tactical and individual work.
Players who played 60 minutes or more in the UEFA Europa League match against SK Brann spent the day on regeneration and active recovery. Fenerbahçe will complete its final preparations for the Konyaspor match with a training session tomorrow.
Spanish star Marco Asensio had been removed from the squad due to pain he experienced before the Brann match. However, Asensio's return to training has raised hopes that he will be able to play in the Konyaspor match.
On the other hand, Youssef En-Nesyri and Dorgeles Nene, who were called up to their national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, departed for Africa following today's training session. These two players will not be able to play in the Konyaspor match.
