Assessment from Sivasspor's new head coach Osman Zeki Korkmaz

Sivasspor, which will compete in the Trendyol 1st League in the new season, has started its season preparations. Sivasspor's new head coach Osman Zeki Korkmaz answered questions from members of the press before the training session.

Stating that they have started preparations for the new season, Korkmaz said, "Players who are on leave or injured will join us within 3-4 days. Sivasspor has achieved many successes in its club history. Unfortunately, the club was relegated to a lower league. Such disasters, in a way, remind people, institutions, and clubs like this of what has happened.

Sivas has remembered what it is, together with the entire football community, the city, the dynamics that have emerged from the city, and its international dynamics. I feel these bonds of heart close and warm. We stepped onto the pitch with training today. As coaches and players, once we step onto the pitch, all problems and troubles are left behind, and we start doing the job we enjoy the most.

All heartaches begin to heal slowly after stepping onto the pitch. We will start healing this with today's training. We will do our best to bring Sivas to the point it deserves as soon as possible. Sometimes the ball loves you in football, and sometimes it doesn't, but I promise you now that there will be a team with a different character of play that people will be proud of when they watch it," he said.

"A VERY BIG CLUB"

In response to a question about transfer efforts, Korkmaz replied, "Our president will come to Sivas tomorrow evening. We will evaluate our transfer efforts. Since a large part of the team will return, we will start working. While we are working during the camp, players will come to replace them separately. Let's not do this positionally to maintain both work motivation and team integrity. Our first priority is that we will work with players who internalize this when they come here and who will serve while being transferred. Some players might be here, but their hearts might be elsewhere. The person who feels that Sivasspor club is a very big club and an international brand will stay here."

"EVERY PLAYER IS EQUAL"

Finally, regarding the question of whether Rey Manaj will stay in the team, Korkmaz gave the following answer:

"To me, the best player is the player who is on the pitch. Every player who comes to the pitch, trains, and respects the traditions and history of the city and the club is equal. Individually, there are 22 players and 4 goalkeepers who have started working here. We will not go individually while they are training. Remember that Roberto Carlos and Cicinho came to this city. I hope we will leave the bad days behind. What matters is not the individuals, but Sivasspor."

TRAINING HAS BEGUN

The training session, held at the Vali Lütfullah Bilgin Sivasspor Facilities under the management of head coach Osman Zeki Korkmaz and his assistants, lasted about an hour. The training, which started with running, continued with warm-up exercises. Later, the red-and-whites did 5-on-2 ball possession work and completed the training with a double-goal match on half the pitch.
