It has been stated that manager Fernando Santos has asked Gedson Fernandes to contribute more to the scoreline in order to find a solution to Beşiktaş's ineffectiveness in front of goal.
According to a report by Sabah Gazetesi, the Portuguese coach spoke with his compatriot Gedson and reportedly said, "I appreciate your support for the defense, but I expect much more in the attack."
PERFORMANCE DEEMED INSUFFICIENT
It was noted that Santos, who does not find the performance of Gedson Fernandes—who has contributed 2 goals and 5 assists to his team this season—sufficient, used the following expressions: "It is important that you find chemistry with Muçi. You must both produce more goals and fight with an understanding that can put your teammates in the forward line into scoring positions."
EFFECT OF THE WARNING
Following this warning, Gedson Fernandes, who displayed an effective performance in the opponent's half during the friendly match played against Buducnost which was won 5-1, scored 1 goal.
