The Fenerbahçe Ordinary High Board Meeting was held at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities in Kalamış. In his speech at the meeting, Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım made statements regarding his presidential future and the club's financial situation.
"I AM NOT HERE AFTER MAY"
Stating that he will not serve as Fenerbahçe president after May 2027, Aziz Yıldırım called on club members to take ownership of the club.
Yıldırım said, "Look, I am not here after May. I will never set foot in this club again. I will also tell you the reason. Take ownership of your club! Taking ownership of the club does not mean coming here and sitting down, or posting on social media. It means protecting your rights."
"I BUILT THE STADIUM, YOU SOLD THE NAMING RIGHTS"
Touching upon the club's past financial situation, Yıldırım made assessments regarding the debt left behind during his own presidency.
Yıldırım said, "Last year... I had it brought out. They say Aziz Yıldırım left 600 million in debt, but if it weren't for Aziz Yıldırım, you wouldn't be seeing these days. Know that too.
You sold Ataşehir, Kayışdağı. I built the stadium, you sold the naming rights, you sold the luxury boxes, the season tickets, but you just managed. Aziz Yıldırım didn't sell any of them!
When Aziz Yıldırım left in 2018, he left 2 million euros in debt. The accounts are here, in my hand."
SHARED FIGURES REGARDING THE CLUB'S FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Speaking about Fenerbahçe's transfer revenues, expenditures, and sponsorship efforts, Aziz Yıldırım made statements regarding player sales made in past periods and the club's financial obligations.
Yıldırım said, "What did you do? You sold 4 of the players that Aziz Yıldırım bought in 2018, whose transfer fees were all paid, and you provided 45 million euros in revenue to this club. Then what did you do? You bought players, then you sold those players. The debt remains, you ate the money you received. The situation is not good, be aware of that. We are trying to inject around 170 million euros, in dollars-euros, into this place as sponsors. And we injected a portion of it. However, that is how we exceeded the limits and closed the other debts, we handled it."
Sharing current figures regarding the money transferred to the club and the expenditures made, Yıldırım said, "Now the final situation; as of October 22, we have injected 217 million euros into the club. In return, we have spent 155 million 186 thousand 304 euros, and there is 38 million euros in cash in the treasury, for your information."
