Aziz Yıldırım breaks his silence: "Fenerbahçe does not give up"

"In recent days, I have been saddened to witness my name being used on various platforms following the negative results obtained by our football team.

First and foremost, I must state that the performance our football team is currently displaying makes me unhappy, just as it does every one of our fans. However, the point our community must absolutely not forget is that it is not too late for anything. In the past, for example in the 2003-2004 season, our football team had fallen 8 points behind its closest rival and had moved away from its championship claim. However, we reached the championship together by maintaining our community's unity and solidarity in those days.

In the 2010-2011 season, which is one of the most valuable championships in our glorious history, we again came from 9 points behind to become champions, and subsequently experienced the July 3rd Conspiracy.

"TODAY IS THE DAY TO BE UNITED"

This year, our football team is not in a worse situation than it was back then. The point gap is not greater than it was then. Fenerbahçe's history is full of many success stories where unity and solidarity were at the forefront. Because Fenerbahçe does not give up.

Today is that day. Today is the day to be united, to support our team with all our strength, and to spend all our energy on this path.

I believe that criticizing failure is as much a right for every Fenerbahçe fan as praising success, and I respect such criticism. However, as a Fenerbahçe fan, I do not find it appropriate to make Fenerbahçe a tool for internal club politics as early as the 15th week. In this context, I am saddened that my name is being included in considerations of internal club politics.

Fenerbahçe has a democratically elected president and board today, and they are undoubtedly dedicating their time and efforts to our team with the best of intentions.

Our duty, as members of the most unique community in the world, the Fenerbahçe family, is to support our club and refrain from any behavior that could harm our team's championship pursuit.

My family and I think this way and live this way. My request to my dear Fenerbahçe brothers and sisters is that they share this feeling and attitude with me.

I hope that the Istanbul Başakşehir match we will play today will be a turning point on the road to our championship. My daughter Yaz, a Fenerbahçe fan with a small age but a big heart, will also be at the ceremony for this match. I hope our victory will crown her excitement with happiness, and I wish our team success in all their remaining matches."
