Aziz Yıldırım's remarks on Ertuğrul Karanlık: I fired him, they brought him back

Following current president Ali Koç, Aziz Yıldırım, who announced his candidacy at Fenerbahçe, has made a statement regarding the club's medical team.

Speaking about club doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, one of the most debated figures at Fenerbahçe since the beginning of the season, Yıldırım said: "The medical team will go. I fired the man, he went to Beşiktaş, they brought him back."

Ertuğrul Karanlık, who was brought in to head the team's medical staff at the beginning of the season, was frequently criticized by Fenerbahçe fans, especially on social media. It was alleged that the incorrect treatments applied by Ertuğrul Karanlık were responsible for the serious injury problems that Fenerbahçe has been struggling with since the start of the season.

ERTUĞRUL KARANLIK'S CAREER

Karanlık, who started his duty as a club doctor at Fenerbahçe in the 2009/10 season, left the team in the 2011/12 season. Following this departure, Karanlık's next stop was Beşiktaş.

Karanlık, who took on the role of club doctor at Beşiktaş in the 2013/14 season, parted ways with Beşiktaş in the 2014/15 period.

Having served as a club doctor at UAE and Al-Jazira clubs respectively, Karanlık returned to Fenerbahçe in the 2023/24 season.
