A notable development has emerged regarding the project for the renovation of Ülker Stadium at Fenerbahçe. It is alleged that Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım requested support for the stadium project during his meeting with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the claims, Yıldırım brought up the plan to renovate Ülker Stadium during the reception held at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office. It was noted that Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak was also present at the meeting.

According to information shared by journalist İbrahim Seten, President Erdoğan stated that he would instruct the relevant institutions regarding the necessary permits for the project to be realized.

Within the scope of the planned renovation works, the goal is to remove the stadium's existing roof with special cranes, strengthen and extend the columns upwards, and thereby create new seating tiers and additional luxury boxes.

If the project is completed, it is expected that the capacity of the stadium will increase by approximately 30 percent to 65 thousand. It was also stated that an increase of approximately 49 million euros in Fenerbahçe's annual stadium revenue is projected with the new seats and luxury boxes.
