Aziz Yıldırım speaks out on the incident-filled Trabzonspor - Fenerbahçe match! 'If the state cannot solve it...'
Speaking about the incident where Trabzonspor fans entered the pitch and attacked Fenerbahçe players following the match in which Fenerbahçe defeated Trabzonspor 3-2, former Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım recalled the bus shooting incident on April 4, 2015.
The repercussions of the Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe match, played in the 30th week of the Süper Lig, continue.
Fenerbahçe players, who left the match with a 3-2 victory, were attacked by Trabzonspor fans while celebrating their win after the final whistle.
Making a statement regarding the events, former Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım said that the match should have been canceled.
Speaking to Sözcü columnist Aytunç Erkin, Yıldırım stated, “If the state cannot solve the bus shooting incident that took place on April 4, 2015, these things will happen. The first task is to shed light on the attack on the Fenerbahçe bus. Furthermore, the match should have been canceled when flares were thrown onto the pitch. From now on, the championship race is 50-50, and we must not drop any points until the Galatasaray match.”
