Aziz Yıldırım to Acun Ilıcalı: 'Moron...'

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım met with general assembly members in Bursa.

Speaking to the members there, Aziz Yıldırım targeted Acun Ilıcalı, who is on Ali Koç's management list.

"ACUN IS PUSHING HIS LUCK, HE SHOULDN'T"

Responding harshly when asked about Acun Ilıcalı's remarks regarding him, Yıldırım stated, "Acun is pushing his luck. He shouldn't. He went on a television program tonight and talked about me. He says I met with Mourinho in London. He is misinformed; I met him in Rome, not London. Moron Acun. In 2016 or 2017, our basketball team beat Beşiktaş to become champions. "I AM NOT A PRESIDENT, I AM A LEADER"

Responding to a question, Yıldırım stated that he is not just a president, saying, "I am not a President, I am a leader. Anyone can be a president, but not everyone can be a leader." Recalling his 2012 statement, "It's not about match-fixing, the country is slipping away," Yıldırım added, "Now I say, Fenerbahçe is slipping away."

Reacting to Acun Ilıcalı's claims that he would facilitate communication with Ankara, Aziz Yıldırım said, "Acun is giving guarantees for everything as if he has received authorization from the President. He says, 'I will handle those matters.' We look at their lists; there are names close to the government. There are names close to FETÖ. You don't fight with the state, but we have no business with politics either." Aziz Yıldırım stated that if elected, they would work with Mourinho.
