Bad news for Eren Elmalı
Galatasaray had appealed to UEFA regarding Eren Elmalı, who was handed a 45-day ban from football-related activities by the Turkish Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) for allegedly betting. UEFA notified Galatasaray of its decision just hours before the Union SG match.
In the 5th week of the Champions League, Galatasaray will face Union SG at home tomorrow.
The yellow-reds had applied to UEFA regarding Eren Elmalı, who was given a 45-day ban from football-related activities by the TFF as part of a betting investigation.
According to the report by TRT Spor, UEFA stated that the decision made by the TFF is also valid in the Champions League.
Accordingly, Eren Elmalı will not be able to play in the Union SG and Monaco matches.
