Bad news for Fenerbahçe fans ahead of Lugano match
Lugano, Fenerbahçe's opponent in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, has announced that no tickets will be sold to the yellow-navy fans for the first leg in Switzerland.
In a statement released in Turkish, the Swiss club said, "UEFA has informed us that it has imposed a stadium ban on Fenerbahçe fans for the match to be played between Fenerbahçe and Lugano on July 23. Therefore, the section of the Thun Stockhorn Arena reserved for visiting fans will remain closed, and Fenerbahçe fans are prohibited from purchasing tickets for this match."
The club also announced that ticket sales for the match have begun.
The first leg of the tie will be played in Switzerland on July 23, and the return leg will be played in Istanbul on July 30.
