Barcelona has extended head coach Hansi Flick's contract by one more year, reaching an agreement with the experienced manager until the summer of 2028.
Hansi Flick, who has enjoyed back-to-back championship celebrations in Spain's LaLiga over the last two seasons, has signed a new contract extending his tenure at the Barcelona club. It was announced that the 61-year-old German manager's current contract, which was set to expire in the summer of 2027, has been extended until the end of June 2028.
Flick took charge of Barcelona at the beginning of 2024 following Xavi, and with his performance in a short time, he led the Catalan team to win 5 trophies.
In a press conference held last week, Flick thanked both the fans and the management, stating, 'I realized I am in the right place. Everyone dreams of the Champions League. We tried, and we will continue to try. I am grateful for the trust placed in me to continue in this role.'
