The Turkey U21 National Team defeated the visiting Scotland U21 National Team with a score of 2-1. Bartuğ Elmaz, the 21-year-old midfielder for Fenerbahçe who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sivasspor, made statements to an İhlas News Agency (İHA) reporter.
Stating that they analyzed the Scotland U21 National Team well over a 5-6 day period, Elmaz, who also finished the match with an assist, said, "We knew their weaknesses and strengths and prepared accordingly. I think we played well as a team. We fought hard. Whether it's an assist or a goal, the result is that we win as a team. I am happy that we won."
"I WANT TO STAY AT FENERBAHÇE"
Saying that he went on loan to Sivasspor during the mid-season break last year because he needed to play, Bartuğ stated, "I made the decision to go to Sivasspor in the second half of the season. I needed to play. I had a good 3 weeks before the injury. I think I recovered well after the injury. I returned stronger. Hopefully, I want to have a good summer camp and stay at Fenerbahçe."
"JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, IT IS MY DREAM TO WORK WITH MOURINHO"
Sharing his feelings regarding Fenerbahçe bringing Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho to the helm in recent days, the young midfielder shared his thoughts by saying, "It is everyone's dream to work with Mourinho. It is my dream to work with Mourinho as well. I am very excited. I really want the season camp to start immediately. Hopefully, it will be a very good season for me."
