In a statement released on the German club's official website, it was stated that the experienced player's contract has been extended until 2025.
Following the extension of his contract, the 34-year-old footballer said, "I am happy that my journey at Bayern continues. I want to do my part so that we continue to be successful as a team and as a club. It is important to me to be a building block and help steer the team in the right direction. I want to inspire our fans with my goals, my assists, my love for the game, my passion for football and hopefully with many more titles."
The German footballer, who has been playing for Bayern Munich since 2009, has scored 237 goals and provided 261 assists in 684 matches.
