Bayern Munich turns to former coach: In the final stretch
Having lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen this season and bid farewell to the Champions League in the semi-finals, Bayern Munich has accelerated its preparations for next season.
Starting the season under the management of Thomas Tuchel and set to part ways with the experienced coach at the end of the season, Bayern Munich is on the verge of bringing back its former manager Hansi Flick to lead the team.
According to a report by Florian Plettenberg, the Bayern Munich management has entered the final stretch to bring the 59-year-old coach, whom they parted ways with in the summer of 2021, back to the helm.
Furthermore, the report details that Bayern Munich's legendary striker Miroslav Klose is also expected to join as Flick's assistant.
Between 2019 and 2021, Hansi Flick managed Bayern Munich in 86 official matches, recording 70 wins, 8 draws, and 8 losses, while maintaining an average of 2.53 points per game.
