beIN Sports challenges TFF's broadcast tender statement!

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced yesterday (November 23) that the Broadcast Tender Commission, which was formed within the scope of the broadcast tender and includes representatives from the Union of Clubs, has begun work on a new tender.

CHALLENGE FROM THE BROADCASTER

Following the TFF's statement, a response came from the broadcaster beIN Sports.

According to the report by Barış Yurduseven from TRT Spor, the broadcaster issued a challenge to the TFF, stating: "We are not considering improving or extending the contract. Go ahead with the tender."

WHAT DID THE TFF STATEMENT SAY?

In its statement yesterday, the TFF included the following remarks;

"The Broadcast Tender Commission, which includes representatives from the Turkish Football Federation and the Union of Clubs, met at the TFF's Riva campus on November 23, 2023 (today) and began its work.

At the meeting held at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities, a roadmap for the new tender period was established, and a consensus was reached on the tender specifications and the tender date.

In the meeting, where sales and marketing strategies and cooperation issues that will increase the global recognition of Turkish football and generate more revenue for our clubs were discussed, the broadcast revenues provided by leading countries in football were also evaluated comparatively.

The commission continues its work without interruption."
