The winter transfer window ends today (February 9).
With only hours left until the transfer window closes, a striking claim has emerged in the Spanish media.
It has been suggested that Galatasaray is testing the waters for Karim Benzema, who has been excluded from the squad at Al-Ittihad.
According to a report by the Spanish newspaper Marca, the French player was excluded from the squad again on Tuesday after the first part of the team's training session.
Karim Benzema, who returned to training with Al-Ittihad on Monday, had once again clashed with his coach, Marcelo Gallardo.
According to Marca's claim, Benzema, who is unhappy at Al-Ittihad where he transferred at the beginning of the season and who fought with manager Gallardo during the training session held on Tuesday, left Saudi Arabia and came to Turkey.
Galatasaray, which has been gathering information about Benzema for some time, is expected to hold a meeting with the star striker.
