Berke Özer responds to the question 'Would you play for Galatasaray?'

Eyüpspor's successful goalkeeper Berke Özer has made special statements regarding his career.

It had been claimed that Galatasaray was interested in Özer, who has drawn attention with his performance this season, but that the Yellow-Reds had abandoned the transfer. The reason cited was the posts Berke had made about Galatasaray in the past.

Speaking to Ekol TV, Özer said, "I wish they hadn't happened," regarding the tweets he sent as a child.

Özer's statements are as follows:

"I WISH I HADN'T SENT THOSE TWEETS"

"Which fan could think at the age of 10-11 that one day they would protect the Fenerbahçe goal, or the Galatasaray or Beşiktaş goal? I am not doing today at 24-25 years old what was done at 10 years old. I am 25 years old today. I am living my life with a different mentality, with a different maturity, and I am focused on my football career. If you adapt what you did at 10 to your current mindset, of course it would be very absurd. I wish it hadn't happened, but I was 10 years old. You are not conscious of anything, you don't know football..."

RESPONSE TO THE QUESTION "WOULD YOU PLAY FOR GALATASARAY?"

Speaking about the transfer rumors surrounding him, Özer gave the following response to the question, "It is known that you are a Fenerbahçe fan. If your club reaches an agreement with Galatasaray, would you also agree and protect the Galatasaray goal?":

"These are, of course, not topics for today. I am not thinking about a transfer. I am speaking generally, not just about Galatasaray. If such a situation were to arise, if it were the right thing for both the club's interests and for us, and if there were no other transfer situations, we would sit down and talk. We are professionals. We support our families through football. It is our duty to do what is right."
