Beşiktaş, which secured 3 points in the Super Lig after a 2-week hiatus, found a morale boost in Antalya. Sergen Yalçın, who received a red card in the Fenerbahçe derby last week, could not take his place on the bench against Antalyaspor. Assistant coach Murat Kaytaz tried to direct the team from the Beşiktaş bench.
In addition to suspended players Orkun Kökçü and Emirhan Topçu, and injured players Rafa Silva and Necip Uysal, Jonas Svensson was also not included in the Antalya squad.
Antalyaspor manager Erol Bulut has no victories against Beşiktaş in his managerial career.
Bulut, who faced the black-and-white team 12 times during his tenure managing Yeni Malatyaspor, Alanyaspor, Fenerbahçe, and Gaziantep FK in the Super Lig, recorded 4 draws and 8 defeats.
