Beşiktaş defeats Eyüpspor 2-1 at home

Beşiktaş hosted Eyüpspor at home in the 6th week of the Trendyol Super Lig. The Black and Whites won the match 2-1 with goals from Rashica and Immobile (penalty).

The visiting team Eyüpspor's goal also came from a penalty kick by Emre Akbaba.

With this victory, Beşiktaş increased its points to 13 and rose to 3rd place. Eyüpspor remained in 6th place with 9 points.

Beşiktaş's next league match is away against Kayserispor on September 30. Eyüpspor will host Gaziantep FK at home on September 29.

The Black and White team's head coach, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, experienced a first after the Eyüpspor match.

The Dutch coach became the first foreign manager to win his first three home Super Lig matches in charge of Beşiktaş since Nevio Scala (2000/01).

Bronckhorst broke the record after a 24-year hiatus.

In the 12th minute, Thiam controlled a long pass from Caner Erkin at the penalty arc and took a shot from around the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Mert Günok controlled the ball in two attempts.

In the 17th minute, after Midtsjö stole the ball from Al Musrati, Saiz found the ball in front of him and shot from around the penalty arc. Goalkeeper Mert deflected the ball for a corner.

In the 20th minute, Beşiktaş took the lead. After Joao Mario stole the ball from an opposing player, he passed it to Rashica at the penalty arc. Rashica's shot went past the goalkeeper's right and into the net: 1-0.

In the 24th minute, Rashica met the ball on the right diagonal of the penalty area following a pass from Rafa Silva and passed it to Immobile near the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Berke Özer saved Immobile's immediate shot. The Eyüpspor defense cleared the ball.

In the 64th minute, Emre Akbaba converted the penalty won by Eyüpspor into a goal.

In the 90+3rd minute, Beşiktaş took the lead again with a goal from a penalty by Immobile.
