Beşiktaş is planning to make radical changes to its squad ahead of the new season. At the forefront of these changes is the search for a new striker to replace Ciro Immobile, who has fallen out of favor due to his cost and performance.
The management has added Czech forward Patrik Schick, who plays in Germany, to its agenda in this search.
Playing for Bayer Leverkusen, the Czech striker draws attention with his physical strength and dominance in the air. Schick, who possesses the qualities sought by Beşiktaş head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has made a significant contribution to his team this season with 25 goals and 1 assist in 42 matches.
However, the biggest obstacle to Schick's transfer is the player's cost. Schick, who has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027, has a reported market value of 27 million Euros. The Beşiktaş management is evaluating whether it can afford this high cost.
