Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor submit their European squads to UEFA
Our four representatives competing in European cups have submitted their lists to UEFA. A 25-player limit and youth academy quota are being applied to the squads.
With the start of the league phases in European cups approaching, Turkey's representatives Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor have completed the UEFA squad submission process.
This season, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray will compete in the UEFA Champions League, Beşiktaş in the UEFA Europa League, and Trabzonspor in the UEFA Conference League.
According to UEFA regulations, clubs can include a maximum of 25 players in their European squads. It is mandatory for at least two players on this list to be goalkeepers.
Furthermore, at least 8 of the 25-player quota are reserved for players who have been "trained at the club/country's youth academy." If clubs cannot meet this criterion, the total squad size is reduced below 25.
On the Trabzonspor front, it was noted that the documentation process regarding the transfer of Franculino Dju is significant for the UEFA list. It was reported that the Bordeaux-Blues are making efforts to complete the player's paperwork in time.
